Brick Built Fireplace in Preston

Brick Fireplace Build

This newly wed couple had just purchased their new house together and wanted to make their house a home. Their first wish was to have a log burning stove.

To achieve this Hanson Building Group first removed the existing old 1970's fireplace and created an opening in the chimney breast in order for the owners to view and feel the warmth of the log burner in both their living room and dining area.

The opening was narrow as it was a single chimney so it was decided to build a false chimney breast in the dining room to create a deeper "double" void and to centralise the log burning stove giving that "country pub" feel.

The opening was completed with reclaimed brick giving an old fashioned rustic effect. Solid Oak beams were installed either side in each room to finish this beautiful stylish fireplace.

Overall we achieved what the customer was looking for and produced a lovely bespoke country style fireplace.
